Grits N Gravy
It's Nice To Be Nice!
My Grandparents, Albert "Big Al" and Yoshi Stevens opened a breakfast joint on Florin Rd. in Sacramento, CA. That was in 1978 and to this day "The Stagecoach" has been servin' up the best breakfast in town.
My "Pops" Derrick Stevens took over in 1994 and took Southern Breakfast to another level. It is a personal point of pride that it is the oldest Black-Owned Restaurant in the city. My Pops taught me everything I know about this business. The three principals of business that Big Al stressed to my father and I hope to continue here is "Great food and great service at a fair price" is the ONLY way to do business!
This diner is my way of paying homage to three of the most influential people in my life. My Grandparents and my Pop's.
